Judah Isseroff

Postdoctoral Research Associate

I work at the nexus of modern/contemporary Jewish thought, politics, and theology. My first book thinks Jewish with the life and work of Hannah Arendt.  

Judah received his Ph.D. in Religion, Ethics, and Politics from Princeton University in 2023. His research interests have spanned constructive Jewish theology as well as American Judaism and the politics of race. His first book project is titled “Given and Not Made: Thinking Jewish with Hannah Arendt.” During his fellowship at the Center Judah will break ground on a second book project tentatively titled: “Antisemitism On and Off the Court: Sports Media and the Politics of American Jewish Whiteness.” His writing has been published in Modern Theology and Religion & American Culture, as well as Haaretz and other popular outlets. Judah graduated Bowdoin College with a B.A. in Government and Legal Studies.
