I’m excited to serve as Assistant Director for the Center, where I can contribute to a community that drives meaningful dialogue, fresh perspectives, and explores how religion and politics continue to shape our world in real time.

Shelley Mitchom serves as Assistant Director, supporting the Center’s administrative, academic, and strategic priorities to advance programming and public engagement. She brings a strong background in higher education administration, with expertise in operations management, program coordination, and cross-departmental collaboration. Beyond her professional role, she is a dedicated community advocate, author, and creative, with a passion for the arts, youth literacy, and amplifying underrepresented voices in St. Louis. Shelley earned her B.S. from Fontbonne University.
