Students are invited to join All in WashU, an event where you can share a free dinner with the politicians that represent you here on WashU’s Campus.

October 10th marks the deadline for voter registration in Missouri. At the event, you’ll have the opportunity to register if you haven’t already!

We have multiple politicians at both the city and state level here to speak to you about what it means to be politically engaged and utilize your right to vote.

Confirmed politicians include:
State Representative Bruce Franks Jr. (78th District)
State Representative Stacey Newman (87th District)
Mayor Harold Sanger (Clayton)
Alderwoman Joanne Boulton (Clayton 1st Ward)
Alderman Richard Lintz (Clayton 1st Ward)
Alderman Steve McMahon (University City 1st Ward)
Alderman Jeff Hales (University City 1st Ward)

At the event, you’ll hear Rep. Bruce Franks Jr. and Rep. Stacey Newman speak about importance of Civic Engagement

You will then have the opportunity to dine with the politicians that represent your municipality.

Many WashU students don’t realize that our campus sits at the junction of 3 different municipalities: Clayton (South 40), University City (the Village north through the Loop), and St. Louis City (East of Skinker). By speaking with our representatives and learning about how our Government works, you will be better equipped to engage with our democracy at all levels.

Organized by the Washington University Student Union, WashU College Democrats, and WashU College Republicans, and supported by the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics.
