Darren Dochuk Awarded OAH 2014 China Residency

Darren Dochuk, Associate Professor in the Humanities with the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics at Washington University in St. Louis, was awarded a 2014 China Residency at the American Studies Center, Beijing Foreign Studies University by the Organization of American Historians (OAH). The award was announced at the April 2014 OAH Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA.

Dochuk is one of three U.S. scholars selected from the applicant pool for his strong record of research and teaching excellence. He will travel to China in June 2014 to lead a week-long seminar in Beijing. Participants will be graduate students and faculty drawn from throughout China.

The two other recipients of the 2014 award are Jon Butler, Yale University and University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and Mart A. Stewart, Western Washington University.

The award is made possible by a generous grant from the Ford Foundation, the Organization of American Historians, and the American History Research Association of China (AHRAC).
